CINEMA

Modern // Timeless // Ephemeral

Although Cinema is truly one of the most modern forms of artistic expression, it instantaneously demanded an irreplaceable and timeless role in culture due to its one of a kind ability to capture the most ephemeral and enigmatic moments of expression in the human condition. Cinema is an ever evolving art-form that serves our humanity vastly, building connections and relationships instantaneously on a global scale, and I am proud to have dedicated my life to pushing the boundaries of expression in this realm of finding, recording and delivering human connection through a moving image.

Another Number Documentary - Director of Photography

Working alongside Director Darren Barzegar and Producers Fiona McNeal and Sarah Jo Carre to shed light on the American mental health crisis through the lens of a personal story of one family’s struggles and triumphs has been a deeply rewarding experience. Filming these incredibly personal stories requires a sensitivity and consideration towards the subjects that I have become known for.

Director Darren Barzegar on working with George:

“Simply put, George is one in a million. With years of experience and a proven track record of remarkable results, he approaches every project with humility, creativity, and a collaborative spirit that’s rare to find.

What truly sets George apart is his character. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. His passion, creativity and unwavering commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to any team.”

Fight Like Mike

Director / Editor / Camera Op

Following Mike Cimbura’s struggle with ALS, the FDA and his family’s beautiful commitment to each other was the single most impactful experience of my life. Mike’s willingness to fight for his future, as well as the future of other terminally ill patients around the country has led to lasting change, and being able to document and celebrate his resilience and success cemented in my mind that documentary film-making is my calling. I am eternally grateful to you and your family. This project went on to be recognized by the NATAS Heartland Emmy Chapter for Outstanding Achievement in Short-Form Non-FIction.

Thank you again Mike, Nicole and the entire Cimbura Family.

America’s Forests With Chuck Leavell - Camera Operator

This episode of America’s Forests With Chuck Leavell was produced by Choose Outdoors and 42 Degrees North and follows the process of choosing and transporting The National Christmas Tree from the Western Slope of Colorado to Washington D.C. It was truly a privilege to work with legendary musician Chuck Leavelle of The Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers Band, Director Kate Raisz, Director of Photography Ken Willinger, Executive Producer Bruce Warner and the rest of the team as a camera operator on this show.

Beaus of Holly - Camera Operator

Working with Director Anthony Ferrante, best known as the creative force behind the Sharknado franchise, was certainly an interesting experience. The emphasis on visual effects and post production was second to none, and unlocked an entirely new perspective for me on how a film can be made. Director of Photography Ryan Broomberg had high expectations and endowed an everlasting appreciation in me for procedure and professionalism on set.

Experimental and Stop Motion Work

I find inspiration most of all in the expressive nature of moving picture media. Using innovative and timeless techniques such as clay modeling, time-lapse and chroma key, I focus on creative images which evoke emotional connection for the viewer. The goal of this work is to push the boundaries of my relationship with this art, and capture something truly unique.
